Could red wine be the secret to a cat’s long life?

According to Jake Perry, owner of Creme Puff… it could.

Meet Creme Puff.

The world’s oldest cat to have ever been recorded. Living to the incredible age of 38 and 3 days.

Creme Puff’s Amazing Life

This feline legend lived in Texas, under the care of her loving owner. Creme Puff was born on August 3, 1967, and enjoyed life until August 6, 2005.

And while studies reveal the average lifespan of a domesticated cat is only 12 to 18 years…

Creme Puff managed to outlive most cats by decades.

In fact, her longevity earned her a well-deserved place in the 2004 Guinness World Records.

And the secret to her longevity? A controversial lifestyle and diet…

The Secret Rituals

Jake Perry had a special way of caring for his cats.

He provided a diet which included dry cat food, along with some unusual additions. Like broccoli, eggs, and turkey bacon. Even coffee with cream and a glass of red wine!

He also believed in keeping his cats as active as possible…

Creating an engaging environment, with plenty of opportunities for his cats to climb, run and explore the outdoors.

He even set up a theatre in his garage, where Creme Puff and other cats watched nature documentaries.

The Right Care For Your Pet

Now, while Creme Puff’s longevity is impressive…

We definitely wouldn’t recommend giving your cat coffee, cream or wine.

However, it does go to show the right environment and nutrition can help your pet lead a happy and healthy life.

And if you’re unsure, it’s always best to consult your vet for the best care practices.

Helping you create the perfect plan, tailored to your cat’s specific needs.

Just remember good, quality nutrition and an active lifestyle can go a long way for your cat.
